SIBENIK DANCE FESTIVAL, događaj je od visoke kulturne vrijednosti, koji se svake godine održava krajem srpnja. Festival je manifestacija zabavno-edukativnog karaktera, namijenjen prvenstveno mladoj populaciji, ali i svim štovateljima klasične i suvremene plesne umjetnosti.

VELIKOM ODAZIVU PLESAČA ZASIGURNO DOPRINOSI ORIGINALNOST KONCEPTA FESTIVALA, A TO JE SPOJ DVA PROJEKTA, JUTARNJE PLESNE ŠKOLE, U ORGANIZACIJI PLESNOG ANSAMBLA KELKOPE IZ ZAGREBA I VEČERNJEG SCENSKOG PROGRAMA U ORGANIZACIJI DOMAĆINA, PLESNE UDRUGE SJENE IZ ŠIBENIKA.
ŠIBENSKI PLESNI FESTIVAL JEDINI JE U OVOM DIJELU EUROPE KOJI U SVOM SADRŽAJU NUDI VRHUNSKU PLESNU EDUKACIJU ZA MLADE PLESAČE, POD VODSTVOM RENOMIRANIH PLESNIH PEDAGOGA, CJELODNEVNO DRUŽENJE, ZABAVU I ODMOR. SMJEŠTAJ PLESAČA U STUDENTSKOM CENTRU GRADA ŠIBENIKA, HOSTELIMA I PRIVATNOM SMJEŠTAJU, PO IZNIMNO POVOLJNIM , SPONZORSKIM CIJENAMA, PRILAGOĐENIM STUDENTIMA , PODRŽAO JE URED ZA DRUŠTVENE DJELATNOSTI GRADA ŠIBENIKA.
Sibenik Dance Festival, the event is of high cultural value, held in late July, in Sibenik Croatia, is an event that combines fun and education, intended primarily for young population, but also for all the worshipers of classical, modern jazz and contemporary dance.
This summer dancers, ballet companies and associations, dance studios and choreographers will present their professional artistic achievements in this beautiful Mediterranean city and once again give their contribution to shifting up the level of cultural tourism in Croatia.
Dance programs are held at three stages :
- The world most beautiful square in front of the Cathedral of St JACOB, unique monument of sacral architecture, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List
- The Croatian national theatre stage
- Stage OF St. Michael's Fortress , the concert stage on the newly reconstructed middleage fortresss, the pride of the city
The fifth consecutive year, from early April SIBENIK DANCE FESTIVAL accepts applications (Application form, doc attached) form numerous Croatian and foreign dancers and dance companies for participation in the Festival evening program. Last year, during the fourth SIBENIK DANCE FESTIVAL, Sibenik hosted about 300 dancers fromCroatia nad neighbouring countries.
Dancers are participating in this event in such great numbers primarily because of the originality of the festival concept, which is a blend of two projects - dance school „KELKOPE dancing Summer“ , organized by dance ensemble KELKOPE from zagreb and evening performances, organized by the host, Dance association SHADOWS from Sibenik.
SIBENIK DANCE FESTIVAL is a unique event in this part of Europe, offering superior dance education for young dancers, led by renowned dance pedagogues, fun and relaxation, accomodation for dancers in a student hostel , hostels Mare, Globo and private appartments accommodation, with extremely favorable prices, appropriate for students, supported the Office of Culture and Social Services of Sibenik City Council and Sibenik Tourist Board
